One of the Benelux’ most successful software entrepreneurs is getting behind the community.
After eight years and more than 300 podcast episodes, We Love SaaS is entering a new phase. Jonas Dhaenens, among the most successful software entrepreneurs the Benelux has produced, has taken a minority stake in We Love SaaS and is getting behind the next chapter Johan de Wit is building.
The most valuable thing a founder community can have is the confidence and support of people who have actually built something. Jonas is one of them; a founder who scaled tech companies from the ground up, not from the outside, and who knows first-hand the weight of the decisions the founders here carry every day. That he chooses to stand behind We Love SaaS says more about where this is going than any announcement could.
“We’ve built something rare here: a place where SaaS and AI founders trust each other,” says De Wit. “The question I kept coming back to was; how far can this go? Jonas is the person who makes that question worth asking.”
Over two decades of building, Dhaenens developed a network that runs deep into the European software world, well beyond the borders We Love SaaS has worked within so far. That reach is exactly what the next chapter calls for. “I’ve seen a lot of people try to bring founders together. Most attempts fade, because trust doesn’t scale on demand. Johan built the exception. That’s worth backing, and worth taking further.”
Johan de Wit continues to lead We Love SaaS, and the Benelux community that built this over eight years stays the home base. Right now the team is in the final stretch of organizing SaaS Summit, 23 September in Amsterdam. And it doesn’t stop there: several initiatives are already lined up for Q4, where the next phase of We Love SaaS will start to take shape.
